Life verse
Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

My salvation story:
I grew up with my god being baseball. I saw many wonderful places and it paid for my college but my life was still empty. That changed in college as I met the girl that would eventually become my best friend and my wife. She shared with me Gods love and his offer of salvation. I committed my life to Christ and have had a hunger since that day to learn more about Him and His word. My joy is sharing what I have learned with others and to see them grow in their walk.

I have been married for 10 years now to my best friend and the love of my life, Ashley. We have 2 great kids, Carter (7) and Meredith (4).

I have a BS in general management from Tennessee Tech University

I have been given the opportunity as a Financial Advisor to help people on a daily basis to develop a plan for their finances and to walk with them as an advisor and a friend toward their ultimate goals.

I have had the pleasure of serving in many different areas at TSC. This will be my 2nd term on the Finance Team. I am currently teaching a 2nd grade BLAST class at 8:30. I have also taught an adult Connect Class, preschool connect classes, served on Wed nights taking care of 2yr olds, been a member of the 20/20 vision team, taught preschool choir, helped with 1st grade bible drill, lead the Crown Financial Bible Study as well as other men’s groups.

Life verse – 2 Timothy 3:16 reminds us that ALL of God’s Word is useful.

My salvation story – I grew up in church my entire life but we never discussed nor were shown how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We were taught great moral values, attended church almost every Sunday and I even prayed a sinners prayer at age 14 while at church camp…. but I had no concepts about a personal relationship with Christ. I believed in Jesus and the Bible, but with no emphasis or instruction on a personal relationship, I became less interested in church and more interested in doing whatever I wanted to do. I met my future wife the year after college and as we dated she invited me to attend church with her, which I did regularly just to spend more time with her. After we were married we found our new church home and for the first time ever I began to realize that even though I knew of Jesus and believed in him, I had not actually placed my ‘trust’ in him. In January of 1992 I was baptized and actually began my walk with Jesus.

Family: Angi – my beautiful wife of over 20 yrs and a fantastic mom
Carson – Our 11 yr old son who is a 6th grader at Spring Station
Sarah Kate – My 9 yr old princess who is a 3rd grader at Allendale
Education: University of Alabama in Huntsville - BS in Electrical Engineering

We came to TSC in Sept 2007 from Orlando. I currently help lead a men’s only Connect Group that emphasizes building each other up in God’s Word. I have also helped lead financial classes at TSC using Crown Ministries-Biblical Financial Study.

Life verse
Proverbs 3:5 – 6 Trust in the Lord wit all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.
Your salvation story
I grew up in a Methodist church and was taken every week by an older lady in the church. My mother worked 3 jobs to take care of 4 children. I was asked to go to a Wednesday night service with my best friend at her Baptist church. At the end of the service they asked if I knew for sure if I died today would I go to heaven? Growing up in a Methodist church I had never been asked that question. So I went forward and told the counselor I did not know. I prayed to receive Christ in my life.

I go to Nicaragua every year on a missions trip and we believe strongly in supporting our missionaries in the field and supporting orphans that we have the opportunity to put into school or feed.

Life verse: Proverbs 3.5-6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and attended a small country church where I accepted Christ during a summer revival and was baptized in the Smith Fork Creek across the road from the Smith Fork Baptist Church at age 11.
