What are the basic beliefs about the Church’s use of money? We believe strongly in the following three core principles regarding money at TSC: 1) money is a tool for the Church to use; therefore, it should be spent toward furthering our God-given purposes; 2) we base our budget on what God wants to happen not based on what we might get; and 3) money is to be handled with absolute integrity.
Where does TSC get funds for ministry and operations? Our support comes from the tithes (10% of earnings) and offerings (any contributions above the tithe) of our attenders.
How do we ensure that our finances are handled with integrity? We have an annual audit by an independent CPA firm to assure standard accounting practices are maintained by the staff. This audit also prepares a reviewed financial statement. In addition, the Finance Team, Personnel Team and Church Trustees regularly review the finances managed by the staff.
How can we keep informed about finances? Visit our website, read our quarterly newsletter, watch the bulletin and attend the annual Church conference meetings.
